I wanted this vlog to be short but highly impactful. Over the last few years our coaches have developed a process for helping participants to get more clarity and depth from their click-360 reports.

So, what's the most frustrating aspect of a 360-degree feedback implementation?

It's chasing participants and feedback providers to complete their questionnaires on time isn't it? Isn't that the bit that drives you mad? Could this be part of the reason why feedback is often slow and coming in? And, it's sometimes of dubious quality and rarely do you reach you know 100 % completion by the survey close.

Hi there welcome back, you know I was looking around our own website, this website just the other day and it occurred to me that there's not that much on our website about what we stand for, what we're about. I don't know if you've seen the TED talk by Simon Sinek, the one where he talks about the reason people buy from you. It's not so much what you do but it's the why...

Recently, Simon Sinek’s video on Millennials, the generation born between 1980 and 2000, has been creating a buzz online. In the video, he talks about dealing with Millennials in the workplace with some astute wisdom. If you haven’t seen it yet, it will be a few minutes very spent. After watching this video, our source (Karen Keller, Ph.D.) began to think of prescriptive ways in...

Hi there! Welcome back! The stimulus for this vlog has arisen from our long-term experience in running 360 degree feedback implementations off our click-360 platform.  And it seems that we’re not alone, a recent literature search throws up similar findings.  My specific focus this time is how do you set up 360 surveys so that participants and raters are engaged and motivated to...

I was recently at an HR conference and was fortunate enough to watch a keynote speech from John Timpson, the chairman of the family-owned retail chain of the same name.  His son James is the MD.  He later agreed for me to interview him and this video blog or vlog reveals some of the highlights of what he shared. TIMPSONS are the go-to people for key cutting and shoe and watch repairs,...

It’s our company promise, in fact! What fascinates me however is how some members of the HR and Learning & Development community do not always share our passions! There seem to be...

Hi there! This week’s subject might be considered a little controversial…I’ve taken a departure from the norm and instead of writing about 360 degree feedback or behaviour I want to write about the tendering process. And what’s wrong with it! For larger buying organisations, especially in the public sector, there has always been a tendency for suppliers to be selected on...

Hi there! The subject of this week’s video blog is all about the compound interest of success.  Now I’m sure you’re aware of the compound interest of money where you put money in a bank account, you earn interest on that money, then that interest adds to the principal, and then you earn interest on that new amount.  So what happens over time is that sum of money starts...

This week’s vlog focuses on questionnaire design for a 360 degree feedback intervention. Let me start by clearing something up: the confusion between 360 and psychometric testing. The word psychometric is formed from the Greek words for mental and measurement. Psychometric tests attempt to objectively measure aspects of your mental ability or your personality. You are most likely to...

As you probably know, we are part of the facilitation and coaching company TLC – The Learning Curve. For historical reasons, a lot of Human Resource and Learning & Development practioners still refer to our space as "Training". And the people who carry out the work as "Trainers". So companies like ours are often lumped together as 'training companies'. We understand that and we're...

The facilitators and coaches that work for our sister company - TLC The Learning Curve - regularly observe many poor examples of people giving verbal and even written feedback to others. Here at click-360, we can't help noticing some of the less than helpful comments that people have provided in the reports. In our combined experience, positive behaviour - which offers a great opportunity for...

In a 360, behavioural questions are being asked of the individual in the middle and the group of colleagues that work around that individual. So what do we mean by “behaviour"? Have you ever been asked to come up with your own definition of the word? Have you ever really stopped to think about it? Well, here's the definition that we use at TLC: “Behaviour is something you do (or don't...
