Five Small Steps To Greater Business Success

TLC Online's 5-step checklist will help you get the best from a 360-degree feedback implementation process

Step 4. How will the 360 survey be run?

You then need to consider the actual 360 survey process from its development and implementation through to delivery of results.

  • Have you already got a robust competency/behavioural framework that can be turned into a questionnaire, or does something need to be bought/constructed?
  • Has the questionnaire (and answer set) been checked and validated by an Occupational Psychologist?
  • Will it be online? Does everyone (especially the rater group) have internet access? How secure is the system?
  • Is the survey open for long enough? Who will track progress and send reminders? How will you ensure that the survey isn't held up by raters not completing in time?
  • Will output reports be electronic or paper-based? Will they be delivered to feedback coaches, who will then share them with the individuals concerned?
  • How will the output be delivered - individually, in groups? Who will deliver it? Are they qualified in feedback coaching?
